Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050818 Firefox/1.0.6

If you enter an invalid URL beginning with http://http:// firefox redirects you
to microsoft.com, which is a little disturbing. ;-)

http://ftp:// was redirected to www.ftpx.com, which i fully understand, but why
microsoft.com for http://http:// ?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter URL in address bar
Actual Results:
redirection to microsoft.com

Expected Results:
error message or a more useful redirection than to microsoft.com

occurs in 1.0.6 and 1.0.2 and most probably all other more or less recent
versions as well.
