307464 - 'Compatibility Updates' window remains blocked for minutes

After upgradi9ng from Firefox 1.0.6 to 1.5 beta 1, a window showed (see
attachment) with "Firefox Update" title and "Compatibility Updates" in the body.
The problem is that the progress bar is locked at 95% for minutes (waited 15
minutes). I'm in a LAN connection and to go forward I clicked on 'cancel'.

You should put a timeout for each updates, like 30 seconds or 1 minute. It's not
pleaseful that that window remains freezed for minutes.

After 'Cancel' button, Firefox appeared. Then I went to 'Extensions', and I see
all with 'disabled - not working with Firefox 1.5', but one hasn't any message:
Linky 2.6.0. Should that extension causing the problem?

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. upgrade Firefox 1.0.6 to 1.5


Actual Results:  
'Firefox Update' window remains blocket at 95%, until you click 'cancel'

Expected Results:  
put a timeout for each extension update check

A fix for this was recently landed.
