SSH connections from the MoFo office to mecha fail after a period of inactivity.
 This just started happening recently for me (in the past couple of days) though
perhaps the problem has been around longer.  We're not sure yet if the problem
is specific to the colo, the office, or both.  Filing this bug per Myk's request
to at least get the problem on sysadmins radar.

It's specific to the office.  I was already testing it this morning because
other people had complained to me.  I can connect to mecha for a day without
touching it and it's still there.  My connections to qball get dropped after
about 10 minutes.

I noticed this to the OSL too -- so it makes me think it is the new office firewall.

There is a minor work-around on that page. I will continue to look for a better one.

This was in theory fixed by moving to the Landings office which has different firewall hardware which apparently doesn't have this problem.
