I've tried to print the following page: http://www.goethe.de/oe/mos/ruallg.htm While print preview is Ok, second page on paper has many missed words. Thank you for your work, Peter. Reproducible: Always
This is WFM on Windows (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050907 Firefox/1.4)
WFM - Output is exactly the same as the preview. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050907 Firefox/1.6a1 If you could print to a ps or pdf or to another printer and let us know what happens there. This sounds to me as if may be a printer driver issue or something a little odd.

If I print both pages I have the same second page, but file size is above 300kb. Second page is broken also, but second is a bit more "beautiful". As you may see, I definitly have problems with printing. If you can point me how to solve this issue, I'll be very grateful. Peter.

worksforme with linux seamonkey trunk 2005091105 Can you try a clean profile? Does it work better with Firefox 1.0.7 or a 1.5 branch build?
Thank you for you suggestions Andrew. I've tested both versions of firefox with/without new profile. So. 1. 1.0.6 version works for me with my profile. At least works better than Deep Park. Text is a bit squeezed (I found the reason. It's a dpi change. More I increase dpi setteing, the more printing is squeezed) but readable and averything is on the page. 2. both versions works with clean profile. Thus this problem occurs with changed profile only. Attached file are my firefox settings that allow me to reproduce bug. I just copy it into .mozilla/firefox/XXXXXXXX.default/, start firefox Deep Park and attempt to print that page. I did not understand what chages in default adjustments were done, to reproduce bug. But I think this is related to dpi/font settings change. *** Text below may be related to this bug, may be is a subject for new one.*** While plaing with dpi/font settings I found may be realated, may be not bug. I have highresolution 14 inches display, thus I have to set width and height of my screen in xorg.conf. So xorg can calculate dpi of my screen. Seem that most (all?) applications work with new dpi settings, but firefox, by default uses 96dpi instead of system. Ok. this is customizable. But next problem is that change of dpi affect print output. It became squeezed! Why? I thought the printing output should be the same. This is definitly a bug. I think only default font size change should affect printing. Right? And the last related to dpi settings question. Why some parts of firefox (gui, some text on pages) are affected by dpi change settings and some (like text in forms I'm writing now) are not. Text is too small :( Peter.

So if you reset your dpi to 96dpi in your default profile, does the bug go away? It sounds like you're seeing bug 106083. > And the last related to dpi settings question. Why some parts of firefox (gui, > some text on pages) are affected by dpi change settings and some (like text in > forms I'm writing now) are not. Text is too small :( Some text is specified in terms of pixels rather than screen size. But nothing in bugzilla specifies fonts in pixels.
(In reply to comment #6) > So if you reset your dpi to 96dpi in your default profile, does the bug go away? > It sounds like you're seeing bug 106083. No. If I change resolution back to 96dpi then I'll see the same result. So seems that this is not a duplication of bug 106083. > But nothing in bugzilla specifies fonts in pixels. That is the reason I was asking. Now I'm sure. This dpi settings are broken somewhere. I can submit many screenshots, but if you play with dpi settings you'll see what I'm talking about... In any way GUI (like menus, toolbars and such) scales different from the web page. And more things on web page scales different... This makes firefox a bit hard for me. I have to adjust most of pages with <Ctrl+> and <Ctrl->. But may be this should be another bug report? This bug... It's obvios that the problem is with configuration. But I've used only firefox preferences dialog window. So how could I misconfigure firefox? May be someone, who understands configuration file format tries to reproduce bug like I mentioned in #5 and tell us what's wrong with my configuration, and how I could fall in such a situation. I should mention here that currently I'm using firefox-1.0.6 and Deer Park Alpha together so may be this is the reason. Than this should be fixed in upcoming release, in other case, many people will curse firefox :) Peter.

Using Firefox 1.5 on Windows XP (J) Home edition. I cannot print any pages: altho Print Preview shows up just fine, when I click print, the printer starts to work, then slows and halts, finally spitting out a blank page. Printer works fine with other applications (e.g. MS Word). Printer also works fine when printing same pages from IE 6. E.g. I could not print the Yahoo UK splash page http://uk.yahoo.com/
