User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nl-NL; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050717 Firefox/1.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nl-NL; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050717 Firefox/1.0.6

I have some virtual search folders, which function great in general. There's one
thing however: the sorting inside the virtual folder is not saved. So when I
sort the virtual folder for descending dates, the next time I go back to this
folder I suddenly have ascending dates.

It seems to be very simply: whatever type of data I sort on, Thunderbird will
only display this in an ascending order. Or stated better: only display in an
ascending order without further user input. I CAN change this order.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change sort order in virtual search folder to any data data in a descending
manner
2. click to other folder
3. go back to virual folder
4. see the sorting order be ascending again

Actual Results:
Issue repeats over and over again

Expected Results:
Save the setting!
Addition: the inital state of sorting on date received is not good either: some
messages from the current day are placed between the eldest messages, while some
other are palced at the bottom.

So, the conclusion is: it's not ascending, it's like ascending. It's simply a
mess... :-)
Which build of TB is this being reported against? If 1.0.x, this is probably a
dupe of bug 268981.
I'm using Thunderbird 1.06
