Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; es-AR; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050717 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; es-AR; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050717 Firefox/1.0.6 I use to have two profiles, and suddenly one day one of them simply dissapeared. I've searched on the hard drive for the profile files. And i've found one of the profile folders Ok, and another folder named default, on this folder i've found the files of the deleted profile. But thunderbird is unable to open that folder i've tried rename the folder to the deleted profile name. But it didn't worked. The mail was configured for IMAP, so in this case i just lost the configuration files not the e-mails. I shutted down the XP correctly and when turned on again, the folder simply wasn't there. I work on a travel company and that caused that i lost almost a day of work. Also lost the contact list that i was using for over 2 yrs. I have to create a new profile from zero. Reproducible: Didn't try

You have two profiles or two accounts? What is your Thunderbird build string (from help > about)? You might check bug 205120

(In reply to comment #0) > Also lost the contact list that i was using for over 2 yrs. > I have to create a new profile from zero. this doesn't address the cause of the bug, but your recovery options are : a) recycle bin b) your backup of the profile directory c) your PC backup
