I experienced the same. Alternative steps to reproduce: Go to google.com, click on "Personalized Home", middle mouse click on one "Quote of the Day" or "Top Stories". The Link should open in a new tab, but instead opens in the same tab. My system: WinXP Pro, Service Pack 2, Firefox 1.5.0.1 From looking at the HTML source code I could not find anything unusual. But as it seems, the problem has to do with RSS feeds.

I get the same problem at msn.com. Middle Mouse Button click doesn't open links in new tabs. At google.com, the problem is resolved now, at least for me. My config: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0
