Hi,

Mozilla and Firefox hang on downloading Word documents from this site:

http://sunset.usc.edu/classes/cs510_2004/notes/usc-cse-2001-501.doc

But it downloads PDF documents from the same site correctly:

http://sunset.usc.edu/classes/cs510_2004/notes/agile_people_factor.pdf

I am behind a Linksys router/firewall/DSL router. From work I don't have this
download problem. I have never had this download with any other files all over
the internet.

IE also had the same problem until I changed a setting: via Tools, Internet
Options, Connections, Lan Settings, Automatically Detect Settings to checked.

About 47% of the file is downloaded and then the downloading hangs.

This is bugging me, I am almost at the point where I am thinking about sniffer
the connection.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to download
http://sunset.usc.edu/classes/cs510_2004/notes/usc-cse-2001-501.doc
2. Hangs downloading.
3.

Actual Results:
Download starts in Firefox and hans at 47%. Mozilla hangs on 0%.

Expected Results:
Downloaded the file completely.

I marked it as a Major issue since downloading files is very important when
browsing.
works for me with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a6pre) Gecko/20070603 Minefield/3.0a6pre ID:2007060304 [cairo]

Reporter, do still have this reported problem in a recent build (like Firefox 2.0.0.4 or Gran Paradiso) ?
