CHECKED When leaving Firefox no questions are asked. When starting Firefox I am asked to clear the data or not.... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Firefox 1.5 beta1 2.Tools |Options | Privacy | Settings | Clear private data when closing CHECKED Ask me ... CHECKED 3.Leave Firefox Actual Results: Nothing is asked. Expected Results: Ask whether private data must be cleared When I re-enter Firefox 1.5 beta 1 this is asked.
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050907 Firefox/1.4 Odd that you say you are asked when you "re-enter" FF. On my machine, when I click the close button, the window disappears and THEN the clear data window appears. Nothing appears when I launch FF. Are you sure that you're seeing something on launch and not just a leftover from the last execution? By the way, which method are you using to close your windows?

Are you sure that you're seeing > something on launch and not just a leftover from the last execution? > > By the way, which method are you using to close your windows? 1) What you describe is what I expect(ed). 2) OK: "on launch" is better than "re-enter". What I described is at launch. 3) I'm sure it is NOT a leftover. 4) The same thing happens either when I use the close button "X" in the top right corner or when I use File | Exit. By the way the automatic part of the report says: Firefox 1.4, while I use Firefox beta 1. By the way: A) I have also Firefox 1.0.4 installed (in a different directory). I would like to keep it that way, so I can use both the stable and the beta versions. B) Firefox beta 1 is not the default browser, Firefox 1.0.4 is the default browser. Any more questions?
(In reply to comment #3) > this issue is Adblock Plus related > Updating to 0.5.9.2 should fix it Indeed. Removing Adblock solved the problem. However: 1) I could not update Adblock to 0.5.9.2 which I would have preferred. Or how should I change from AdBlock to AdBlock Plus? 2) Now Firefox 1.0.5 reprts a runtime error and quits when I choose Tools | extension from Firox 1.0.5
