This is reproducable. I wanted "visited links" to by shown as RED. Using
Tools,Options,General,Fonts & Colours. I changed "Visited links" to Red. Then
Ticked "Always use my colours" tick box. (Visited links won't show Red if this
is not ticked).
On using the browser now two things are different.
1. Web page colours don't display correctly. (Usually most of the colours are
missing.)
2. Input Form boxes use thick black and grey colours instead of a nice neat thin
grey outline.
To test this try a clean profile and visit www.bbc.co.uk
Nice blue web page with two input forms.
Now set visited links to red and tick Always use my colours.
Press F5 and Re-load the page. Pretty plain now?
Untick Always use my colours.
Press F5 and Re-load the page. Back to normal.
To see ALL the colours disappear visit http://convertalot.com/webcolours.html.
I can't see how to have RED (or any other colour) visited links without loosing
the web page colours.
When checking if this bug had been reported I found this one which has part of
the problem.156011.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.visit www.bbc.co.uk
2.Now set visited links to red and tick Always use my colours.
3.Press F5 and Re-load the page.
4.Untick Always use my colours.
5.Press F5 and Re-load the page.
Actual Results:
1-3 The background colours of the web page disappeared and Input Form boxes used
thick black and grey colours instead of a nice neat thin grey outline.
4-5 The web page viewed normal.
Expected Results:
Allowed me to choose to see my visited links in the colour I choose without
upseting the web page colours.
I am using the default theme.

A poor choice, since the form control issue was already reported. Reopening
and resummarizing to the issue that *isn't* bug 58048.
This seems like WONTFIX anyway, as it would make links invisible on some
pages. Perhaps the real problem is "What part of 'Always use my colors'
didn't you understand?", in which case inverting it to "Pages can use other
colors" (on by default) may help.

Summary: In prefs fonts + colours, when I tick always use my colours web pages loose thier colours → "Always use my colours" causes web pages to lose their colours

Of course overriding the colours does override the colours.
