User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050908 Firefox/1.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050908 Firefox/1.4
Open Firefox and go to google, go ahead and tpye anything in the search bar.
Press back and forward to navigate between the text, the textbar moves normally.
Now with that same window open, open another instance of Firefox, (not a new tab).
Go to google and type text into the searchbar and try to navigate between the
text. It simply will not work. The only key that will work is down and up,
left and right are disabled until one of the instances of Firefox is closed.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open an instance of Firefox, go to google and type anything in their searchbar.
2.Open a second instance of Firefox and go to google and type anything in the
searchbar and try to navigate between the text using the back and forward key as
if you misspelled a word and your trying to correct it.
Actual Results:
The back and forward keys will simply not work.
Expected Results:
The back and forward keys to navigate through the text should navigate.
This is not only limited to google, this will happen if there is more than one
instance of Firefox on any web page where you have to input information to it
such as logins or forum entries. If you misspell something you have to either
navigate through the text with the mouse or delete the word completely.

This is not a duplicate of Bug 307991. This has nothing to do with any keyboard
shortcuts, this is a simple "pess the back key press the forward key in a text
box" bug. The edit commands work fine, all keyboard shortcuts work fine as long
as they dont have to do with the back key or forward key. The process of
dupicating the bus is similar to Bug 307991, but the outcome is not the same.
