This link is a typical page on which the Chinese words can't be displayed
properly in Mac OS X Tiger en-US enviroment. The layout in Deer Park (Firefox
1.5 beta1) looks as the pic on this link:

Not just this site, many site with Chinese displaying has such a problem. It
seems like some Chinese words just can't be displayed in such enviroment.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.input "黑头导出液" in Firefox's search bar or google's search box on google.com
2.Check out the result on Google
3.

Actual Results:
Some words can't be displayed. Such as the first search result from google, read
on google's result page is"维C祛头组合套装- 中国生物美容网" in fact it is "维C祛
黑头组合套装- 中国生物美容网" if you copy and paste the words you can see the
actual contents.

Expected Results:
Display all the Chinese words not just part of them
I guess this is a dupe. Anyway, let me take it for now.

After I removed all the files in my profile and then built a new one, this seems
resolved.
This happens in 10.3.9 too. And not just in zh-CN locale; it also happens with zh-TW. I'm using the official 1.5.0.1 build.

My guess is that Firefox on MacOS cannot substitute missing chars from another font when a font is missing in the "current font" (esp. true for things like text boxes, but sometimes also happens for web pages).

BTW I wonder if this is a dup where the original bug is; this is the only bug that I can find when I do a simple search.
