User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0.6 (20050716)

When composing an email, *all* email attachments that are added (drag & drop
*and* via the toolbar icon / select) are renamed "C" (no quotes) with no
extension; receipents see this as well (e.g., "fred.xls" is attached as "C");
interestingly, the attachments window in the compose window show the correct
sort of icon for "C" per its original name/extension (Excel icon for above), AND
if the receipent adds the correct extension, it will open in the correct software)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. attach an email
2.
3.

Expected Results:
saved attached as, for example, "fred.xls" or "fred.pdf"

using the default theme (v2.0), no extension installed, recent install of
Thunderbird on this PC (previously using the Mozilla suite on another PC)

Resolved? You mean it works OK with 1.5b1? If so, please mark this bug:

You should try 1.0 in Safe Mode to see if perhaps that extension was causing the
problem.
works in beta 1.5 now
