User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050717 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050717 Firefox/1.0.6 Firefox crashes while displaying the page http://wirelessdigest.typepad.com/bayraider/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start firefox 2. Enter the URL mentioned above 3. Wait a few seconds... Actual Results: Firefox crashes Expected Results: Firefox should display the page. Since it seems that firefox is crashing due to the data it got from the server, it check the security button (may be someone is able to insert code on this way, don't know).
Not crashing for me in 1.0.6 or 1.5b1. Did you send in any Talkback incidents? If so put the talkback ID in the bug. If not, and no one can reproduce it we'll have to close this. The page apparently contains Flash content. Do you have flash installed? If so what version? I didn't try with flash.
Group: security
probably Incident ID: 9271087 which is not happy. jay: why isn't it happy?

I've send a talkbalk incident but didn't remember the ID, next time... sorry :-( In the meantime, the webpage works fine also here. The page is update quite often so probably the HTML (or whatever) code which causes the crash has been fixed. From my point of view, this bug can be closed since it will probably be impossible to reproduce it without the original web page.
(In reply to comment #2) > probably Incident ID: 9271087 which is not happy. jay: why isn't it happy? Due to current diskspace limitations, we can not keep symbols for builds older than about 10 days...so if you crash with an older nightly (that does not becomes or already is a major release) Talkback won't have symbols available and we'll get ugly stacks. We are currently working on getting more more storage for the symbols. Sorry. Please try reproducing with a more recent nightly and submit a new Talkback report if you want to see better crash data.
I can't get this to crash either. Is this still a problem with Firefox 1.5?
tested with : Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1a2) Gecko/20060516 BonEcho/2.0a2 WFM
