Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) Build Identifier: version 1.0.2 (20050317) The right-click menu on the application's task button (Restore, Move, Size, Minimize, etc.) should include a Check Mail feature so the user can get new messages while the application is minimized to the desktop. Reproducible: Always
As I said in bug bug 305079, this is non-standard and platform-specfic. The system menu is just that - it "belongs" to the system. Is it a good idea to go down this route?
(In reply to comment #2) > The system menu is just that - it "belongs" to the system. Is it a good > idea to go down this route? I don't think it's a horrible idea. I once wrote a program that had no standard menu, so I added the About trigger in the system menu, that seemed reasonable to me (altho not necessarily discoverable). SecureCRT's system menu has a few extra items, including one to hide the menu bar (similar to my program's need) and another for Always On Top, which is sort of in line with the standard menu items (providing Windows-level behavior of the app's main window). A better plan would be for TB to minimize to a tray icon, where the menu is completely flexible. But anyway: this is a dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 251406 ***
