Marcelo, the owner of es-AR toolkit, should probably comment, CCing shaver for calendar-related input.
Summary: l10n es-AR → calendar l10n es-AR

¿Do you want to help localizing calendar? I'm sending you an email.

So what is the current status of this bug. The Calendar team would of course be interested in having Lightning/Sunbird translated into another language.

The group is trying to get Calendar translated in any of the flavours available. The peer in charge of translating Calendar left the group and we are trying to find another one.

Marcelo: would it make sense to close this bug (to get it off the "pending" list), and reopen it or file a new one when you are ready to proceed? Gerv

Some days ago I've committed the first batch of files. Today we are working on the forthcoming Firefox 3 and we decided to wait for the next release of Calendar. If Firefox 3 keeps the current number of daily changing strings, some of the peers could work on Calendar if Tinderbox begins building it. Seems that we are ready to proceed.

Marcelo, could you please also commit your calendar strings to the MOZILLA_1_8_BRANCH. Then we could try to squeeze you into our Sunbird/Lightning 0.7 release, if you would be interested in that.

Simon, Marcelo, seems to me like this one is ready to be marked FIXED? Please update http://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Teams:es-AR accordingly, that seems to be the only remaining thing here.

Today or maybe tomorrow I'll be comitting calendar to MOZILLA_1_8_BRANCH. If Simon agrees, this bug can be marked FIXED.

Yes, please mark this bug as fixed once you committed the calendar translation to the 1.8 branch. Please also file a followup bug in Calendar/Build Config to add es-AR to the all-locales and shipped-locales files, so that regular nightly builds of Sunbird can be generated.

I've filed the followup bug (bug 397542) myself and fixed it already.

Marcelo, es-AR was enabled on the Sunbird tinderboxen on the 1.8 branch and the trunk and both turned either orange (1.8 branch) or red (trunk). Please fix the remaining issues on the branch tinderboxen as reported by the compare-locales script as soon as possible. --> http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/Mozilla1.8-l10n-es-AR/ Please also note, that you are currently missing all strings in mozilla/other-licenses/branding/sunbird/locales/en-US/ Please translate those as well.
