As a result, my message is a patch where the text hasn't always the same size. Unfortunately, the actual composing toolbar let me only increase/decrease the text size, but not set the text size in absolute (ex: 10 px, or STRONG, small). It would be v. usefull though. Reproducible: Always

Note that when composing in HTML, there is a menu item: Edit | Paste Without Formatting which will cause the pasted text to assume the formatting in the message. Not a solution, but perhaps a useful workaround.

Can be a workaround. But i'm very interesting in keeping the formatting, too. Thx for your feedback anyway.
possible solution would be to allow customizing the formating toolbar and provide all the menu items from the "format" menu to add to the formating toolbar.
To Jan : yeah, very nice. It would be the ideal solution. Keep up the good work gents ! Bertrand.

I often compose messages by copying and pasting from other documents, but get a variety of font types and sizes that way, and would like a way to easily make them uniform, as well as select unusual fonts (like Gentium phonetic or SPIonic, which I would likely attach to the message so people could install them right away). In other words, the message compose pane should have most of the features of an HTML editor.

There is of course the menu Format | Size

(In reply to comment #8) > There is of course the menu Format | Size But is vague as described in bug #98763 comment #2 I think that this issue is closely a dupe of bug #98763 (also if bug #98763 is enhancement): feel free to reopen it if I'm wrong.
