I was seeing this crash as well, when changing the Appearance-Fonts entry from
Fonts for: "Western" to "Central European".
As soon as you confirm the prefs by clicking on OK it crashes Mozilla.
Win95 build 03/05

Win95, build 03/28
I am still seeing this.
Every time I visited the fonts prefs (didn't change anything), I am not able to
close prefs with OK (Cancel works).

try removing your prefs.js file.
The file is probably corrupt.
actually, selecting another language will result in a crash... but that problem
is covered by bug 35088. verifying this one.
