User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050512 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050512 Firefox/1.0.4 I have a few directories with roughly 2000-3000 files. Opening these directories in the save dialogue causes Firefox to block for up to 10 seconds. 'ls' takes about half the time. Re-opening the same directory again is much faster the second time but if you navigate to other directories and back in between saves, it again becomes just as slow. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: n/a Actual Results: n/a Expected Results: It would seem that this cannot be sped up by much. I think the save dialogue should be made non-blocking so that the "save" and other buttons and other browser windows are still usable when listing a large directory. You will notice that Konqueror does this.
