User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 I had the Beta 1.5 installed. I wanted to revert back to the std version v1.0.6. Now the themes do not work at all after reinstall of v1.0.6. All forms of graphics for the browser are gone. All graphical items including: Main Menu Lists, (side) Scroll Bar, Status or Query Bar (bottom of window), Bookmarks lists there are no graphics interfaces and the "menu" that does drop down is a solid black java bar, with no visble text. If you click on the blackened menu list you can bring up a window (eg: extensions manager), but again there are no graphics elements to the new window either. The window is barren. I've tried installing Beta 1.5, reverting back to the std theme's package, then uninstalling it and reinstalling v1.0.6 but this did not help. I tried installing fresh themes package from Firefox page and "using this theme," again to no avail. I between installs of Firefox I ensured to delete the existing pgm folder and all of its contents. I shall try to delete the Profile manager folder next and disposing of all forms of previous versions. ANY other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Reproducible: Always
You can't use Firefox without graphical interface. Forward and Back buttons, Bookmarks, Menu's and Scroll Bars are rather important features of a browser.

Were you using a non-standard theme? Perhaps you installed it while using the beta? If so, you should launch in safe mode while in 1.0.6 and select the default theme. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

The theme being used was from Firefox Themes page. I used AquaTint 1.3.4.

Ok... there have been a ton of theme changes and I am very sure that is why 1.0.6 is having a problem with that theme. Please try launching in safe mode while in 1.0.6 and select the default theme. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Note: I wasn't able to reproduce this when using that theme using the scenario in comment #0 but there is a note on AMO about using the theme available from the theme's home page when using > 1.0.6 so I suspect this was an issue with the theme that has since been fixed.
Safe Mode did not work. All forms of graphical interface were still missing. I fixed the problem. I uninstalled Firefox (neither version were active on my system). Deleted the Program Folder. Deleted the C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Application Data\Mozilla and all sub folders. Saving my bookmarks onto my desktop. Downloaded a fresh copy of Firefox v1.0.6. Then reinstalled v1.0.6 and have graphical interface available once again and am able to use Themes packages again. R³
