what version of thunderbird are you using? Do you have mail filters that might move messages to the trash, or have you configured the junk mail filter to move messages it thinks are junk to the trash?
I was using the latest Beta-1 version of Thunderbird, but have reverted to the previous version because of this problem. I deleted all filters directing incoming mail to trash before submitting the bug report. I assume that my @dress was considered "phis" stuff. I will add my personal address to my personal phone book, but will not return to the beta version.

I'm experiencing the same thing, on Seamonkey 1.0 on WinXP. Message filters were all rebuilt in Seamonkey, rather than moved from Thunderbird. Message filters are specified for "Local Folders," which should process all incoming mail, regardless of which account is being retrieved. While some filters specify a routing to Trash, most route messages to specific subfolders in Local Folders. However, all incoming messages go directly to Trash. When I run filters "as is" on the Trash folder, they operate correctly. My junk mail controls are turned on, but there is no directive in them to move mail thought to be junk to the Trash (or any other bin) at this point. Any help will be appreciated! Karen G.

First, I copied my profile from another machine that had no problems -- this didn't help. Next, I removed my only filter - one that filters out old dates. This fixed the problem. [I"M RUNNING XP; latest thunderbird; junk mail]

Same problem running T-Bird 2.0.0.9 on WinXP Pro: all incoming mail going to trash folder. Don't know if I missed anything or not. I went to message filter and disabled all filters. Next download, all inbound mail went to account in-box. I believe this began happening after an auto-update about a month ago. Hope it is fixed now, but what about filters? FLB

Reporter could attach the msgFilterRules.dat that is in your profile if the problem is still present?
