User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50215) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050908 I would like to have options in the context menu for both loading a tab in the background and loading a tab in the foreground, instead of just "Open in a new tab." Reproducible: Always
(In reply to comment #0) I just discovered the "Open link in..." extension, which would provide the feature I requested if it was compatible with Firefox 1.5 Beta. The discussion about this extension in the MozillaZine support forum is at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=118365&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= and the author appears to intend to make it compatible with Firefox 1.5.

this is overkill for most users, and for those who actually want this they can use the extension.
