What did you do to get this error?

From http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/ref/ssl/sslerr.html :
"SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length."

This generally indicates that the remote peer system has a flawed implementation of SSL, and is violating the SSL specification.

I ran today's trunk build with a clean profile, loaded this bug and then clicked the URL link listed in this bug, nothing more :-)

If I set security.enable_ssl2 to true, then I don't get that error, but I get the Firefox error page with "The connection to ben.mbhs.edu was interrupted while the page was loading."
If you go to http://ben.mbhs.edu/ You'll see this message:
====
Blair's web server is currently experiencing minor difficulties. This also affects all mail coming to and from @mbhs.edu accounts as well as all shell access to the server. We apologize for the inconvenience, and are working to restore service as quickly as possible.
====
It looks like their servers are not doing well, which indicates a server problem and not a client problem. It's been that way for a few days.

Marking Wontfix.

This isn't a client product or componenent :-)

I'm re-opening for now as the site behaves differently with SSL2 disabled versus when it is enabled, but I'll check back next week to see if it's working again.

Now it's working :-)
