The "View:" constraint feature is not as useful as it could be because it
interferes with the quick search. Take for example a "View:" constraint that
shows only new or important mail, and then the user wants to find a message by
"Bob". The user has to disable the view constraint, do the search, and then
re-enable it. Often the user won't bother to re-enable the constraint. I'd
consider either clearing the view constraint when the person does the search
(like threading is disabled for searches), or providing some other mechanism to
temporary turn off the constraint. The latter might be useful in other
circumstances.

bryan, wonfix? imo this shouldn't be accepted, because quick search is a filter on the current view.
