When a pop-up attempts to open, the current browser minimizes and another open
browser maximizes.  The effect is that, for example, when opening CNN.com, the
window will 'disappear' and some other (previously opening browser) window will
maximize.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open more than one instance of Firefox (Deer Park)
2. In one instance, go to http://www.cnn.com
3. Once the site is launched, it will attempt to open a pop-up.  Firefox will
not allow it, but will minimize the main window leaving another maximized
browser window open.

Actual Results:  
Click on another browser window on the task bar, and then click back on .

Expected Results:  
Either block the pop-up, or let it open without minimizing the browser window
that was its source.

Works for me.
This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.3 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
