If I open the browse dialog when trying to save a save from one Firefox window,
I am unable to switch between tabs in a second Firefox window.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load FF
2. Open a second tab.
3. Open a new window.
4. Load http://lugradio.org/ in the second window.
5. Click on the Ogg podcast link.
6. When the "Opening episodes.ogg.rss" dialog appears, click on "Browse..."
7. Switch back to the first window and try clicking on the tabs to switch views.
Actual Results:
The tabs won't switch views.
Expected Results:
It should have worked.

One more thing, closing the "Choose Helper Application" dialog cause the tab
switching to work again.

Someone's going to be tempted to dup this to a Core "window modal/app modal"
bug: think twice, and look at how differently we behave (e.g., you can load a
bookmark in window 1, unless it redirects, in which case you can't) than the
suite in the same situation.

I guess you mean bug 123913, right?

Yep, that's the "future it off, all bugs are that one until it's fixed" solution
(that I seem to have taken a couple of times already). I'm at least as tempted
to say that the bug here is that, unlike the suite, for a number of things we
ignore the fact that a modal dialog is up in another window, so that instead of
being annoying like the suite is, we are bafflingly inconsistent. Whether or not
we have tab-modal alerts, the fact that we will load a bookmark which does not
redirect, and will not load a bookmark that does, is broken.

But, even if we were likely to fix the things that are currently only
window-modal to be app-modal, morphing a bug that's asking for window-modal if
not tab-modal isn't the right place to do it, and I should have just duped it in
the first place.
