Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050908 Firefox/1.4
Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 1.5 Beta 1 (20050908)

I use the "search by subject or sender" field a lot. It's a fantastic feature.

Unfortunately, I find myself unable to type the "g" character in this field
after having activated the "group by sort" feature with the "G" hotkey.

Closing the main mail window and then opening it again seems to do the trick.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press "G" to turn on "group by sort".
2. Turn off "group by sort" by going to "View" -> "Sort by" -> "Unthreaded"
3. Click in the search field.
4. Type the word "angry". Only "anry" will appear, and the messages will once
again be grouped by sort.

Actual Results:
"Sort by group" was turned back on, and I was unable to type the letter "g" in
the search field.

Expected Results:
It should have (a) kept the sorting order as it was, and (b) put everything I
typed into the search field, including the letter "g."
