When I move a mail from an IMAP account to another folder (on an IMAP account or
on the local folders), the label is lost.

When I want to move a labeled mail from a local folder to an IMAP folder, there
is an error message and the mail is not moved.

If the mail from a POP account is moved to a POP account (or local folder), the
label is kept and no error message, as expected.

It could depend on Bug 127141, but this one was marked as fixed. A regression ?
Following the advice of David Bienvenu on this bug, I created a new bug
describing precisely the problems I encountered.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.On an IMAP account, label a mail
2.Move it in another folder (POP or IMAP or local folder)
Or
1.On a local folder, label a mail
2.move it into an IMAP folder
Actual Results:  
IMAP -> Local folder: Look into the destination folder: the mail has been moved
but not labeled.

Local folder -> IMAP: Error message: "The current command did not succed. The
mail server responded: Syntax error in APPEND flag list."

Expected Results:  
The mail must be moved and keep its label.

In addition, still on an IMAP folder, can't delete an attachment from a mail
that is labeled.
Error message : "The current command did not succed. The mail server responded:
Syntax error in APPEND flag list."
Works fine in a local or POP folder.

This features works in my 1.5RC2 (version 1.5 (20051025)) FR on windows XP SP2 (I'll check on Mac OSX Tiger).
Label is correctly labelled in an IMAP account, it is kept when the mail is moved (wherever it is moved), and a label can be applied with a filter even when the mail is moved to another folder.

To be checked, but it seems the bug was fixed between beta1 and RC2.

Works also on mac version 1.5 (20051201) (which is a RC2, on my windows, this could be a RC1).
It appears this bug was fixed between beta 2 (Miles Libbey's version) and 1.5 RC1 (mine).

However it should be checked... If people want to check and don't have an IMAP account, I can provide temporary ones for tests on my own domain. Just send me a mail.

Ah, I sorry bout that.  Somehow I missed RC2.  Just upgraded to win version 1.5 (20051201) and, unfortunately the label still disappears for me.  Using UW-IMAP -- wonder if that makes a difference.

I also downloaded 1.5 final (20051201) on windows and labels disappear again (it did not on (20051025)). What a wishy-washy bug...

Confirmed & voted... I would love to see this resolved.

My experiences:
- Copy or move from IMAP folder to IMAP folder: label is lost
- Copy or move from IMAP folder to local folder: label preserved
- Copy or move from local folder to IMAP folder: label is lost

Additionally (these may be separate bugs but seem to fall under this one):
- Deleting attachement from labeled message in IMAP folder: label is lost (on the new copy created with the attachment deleted)
- Deleting attachement from labeled message in local folder: label is preserved

This is with TB version 1.5 (20051201)

On my Thunderbird on windows XP (version 1.5.0.2 (20060308)), the moved mails keep their labels (from or to an IMAP account), but like Gabriel, if I delete the attachment, label is lost. Amazing bug...
