From bug 197122, I promised to file a bug saying that allowing empty port
numbers and zero in the prefs UI was bad and should be disallowed by adding some
form validation.

Adding this logic would also create some migration problems (we would probably
need to set the configuration of those people to type=none).

But in general, I do believe we've limped along with suporting bogus port
numbers -> DIRECT for too long.

Also from bug 197122... is this supposed to be in MAP? I thought it was to be put in Core::Networking...

As I conceive of it, the preferences for each product are different. By default, I file preferences bugs for Mozilla/Seamonkey... as a starting point.
