User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Build Identifier: I think bugzilla shouldn't send notification mail when only CC is changed. This is only noise, it contains no information (maybe this is useful for admin or for statistics). Most of the bugs I register send msgs about CC and very few are about "real stuff" PS: Hope this is the right place to post (don't really catch the diff between bugzilla / mozilla-bugzilla configuration) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

It already does. That's a user preference, each user can decide whether they want mail when the CC changes or not (as well as several other types of changes). Hit the prefs link in your footer, go to the Email tab, and have a look.

ok sorry for the buzz. So my question is now: "shouldn't be the cc field disabled by default". (I think it is useless for 99,99% of us) Who cares who's CC'ed until those person do "real action".
it's really a matter of personal preference. i certainly care. some people get annoyed or are surprised to find out that other people are watching their bugs. some people are naturally curious about people who are naturally curious. anyway, we haven't had many people complain, and this bug is currently in my component which has not much to do w/ defaults (and certainly absolutely nothing to do with this bug), so i'm going to be a silly qa and verify the bug as worksforme (because it does). if you want to get this changed, you should probably talk to the bugzilla developers directly (irc, newsgroups) and see if you can convince them of your view. note that both justdave (bugzilla owner) and i (a random qa contact who heavily uses bugzilla) seem to think things are fine as they are, so i wouldn't expect much traction....
