RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 308788

People

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050910 SeaMonkey/1.0a
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050910 SeaMonkey/1.0a

With the latest alpha-release of SeaMonkey the tabs do not close properly. I
have noticed this problem twice, while having two windows (each with multiple
tabs) open. Clicking on the closing icon didn't work. And also Ctrl-W didn't work.

Right now (though I'm not sure whether it has been so before), the page, which I
used to open up others, cannot be closed again. Others can be closed.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a website containing links.
2. Open some tabs from witzhin this page.
3. Open up another window using Ctrl-N.
4. Open some tabs with Ctrl-T.
5. Try to close the opening website of step 1.

Actual Results:
Opening website couldn't be closed again.

Expected Results:
The tab should have disappeared from the browser window.

Theme is modern. I have a Java, RealPlayer, Adobe Acrobat and Windows Media
Player plugin, though none of this was used (at least to my knowledge) on any of
the opened pages.
WFM using the alpha release.

Seamonkey 1.0a on linux exposes exactly the same behaviour as Seamonkey1.0a on
Windows. I can reproduce this bug without any trouble on a regular basis. So
Seamonkey definitely does not work for me!

Maybe I should have added the UA-string:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050913 SeaMonkey/1.0a

I use on both machines the UserAgent-Switcher-extension. But I doubt that this
has much to do with this bug.
