User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Right now you can only add web sites to a popup blocker "white list", which enables all popups for that site. I would also like a popup blocker "black list", a list where you can add sites so that when you go there you don't get the annoying "Firefox has blocked a popup window" toolbar. For example - every time I go to www.cnn.com Firefox shows me this toolbar. I wish I could add cnn.com to a list so that the toolbar is no longer shown, and the popups are blocked silently. Reproducible: Always

Not (yet) per page but you could hide the popup notification bar on all sites by setting privacy.popups.showBrowserMessage to false. The icon in the statusbar will still show you that there was a popup on that page.

Yeah I know that, but I *do* like the bar coming up on sites I do not frequent, because it lets me know that a popup has been blocked, and probably about 25% of the time I actually do want to see what it was (I find Firefox blocks quite a few non-ad popups, maybe it is just the sites I use). It is only sites that I visit multiple times a day that I find it annoying.

I think this should be WONTFIX. You can turn off the popup blocker toolbar. You will afterwards see an icon to the bottom right if a pop-up is blocked. Simply not showing anything would be confusing in certains situations

I don't see how it would be confusing - the sites are manually entered, you obviously know what you are doing if you add a site there. You can't call that confusing and not call the whitelist confusing.

i agree with reporter ... and it could be more user friendly than a change in about:config ... it is a good idea

Isn't this covered by the Adblock Plus extension? If it is, I don't think it is worth adding this to the main browser code. P.S. Anyone knows Wladimir Palant's email-address-of-record? I'd want to CC him on this bug but I haven't got the right handle.
