Smart keywords and the search engine toolbar should be integrated. If an user
can easily add to the search toolbar, it will be a big plus for FF. Use favicon
for the search engine icon.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Summary: Combine the search engines and the smart keywords → Combine the search engines and the smart keywords
Do you mean that users should be able to type their keyword & search term in the
searchbar instead of the locationbar? This would be problematic, as a lot of
users hide the searchbar but very few hide their addressbar.

There is also a big difference between search engines and bookmarks. Search
engines are stored in the searchplugins folder and bookmarks in bookmarks.html.
They have no relation.

No, I meant the average user should have an easy way to add a search engine.
For example, let's say the user wants to add the www.nytimes.com's search to the
search engine. FF should use the favicon from www.nytimes.com and a method
similar to the smart keyword to build a new search engine. This would give the
user more power to customize their FF.
