The page loads, the countdown timer on the page runs for a few seconds and then
the whole operating system crashes. This happens on all download pages for
megaupload

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Load the page
2.Wait
3.Crash

Actual Results:  
ME crashes

Expected Results:  
Loaded the page without crashing the system

I was using default settings all the way

WFM in 1.0.7, trunk and branch.
My friend opened the page.
He is running XP, service pack 2
His firefox version is 1.07
"Whenever I load a Megaupload link my sidebar (All-In-One Sidebar) crashes. The
icons look like a little like Jpeg corruption."

if windows is actually blue screening, please see bug 307577 and follow the
steps described therein (there are other bugs that reference that bug number,
feel free to read them for more hints).

comment 2 sounds like a broken use of 'crash' to mean 'misbehaves' which would
be very different from the os blue screening. if you see both behaviors, then
you need to file a new bug for one of the behaviors (preferably for comment 2 --
and don't use 'crash' in that bug).
No blue screening occours. I will see about installing talkback and 
resubmitting comment 2

I reinstalled wit talkback, now it finishes the countdown timer, but i cant get
the download to begin. I have ammended the appropriate sections. I guess it was
corrupted install?

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME
