need replacement for aaronleventhal@moonset.net per ...

Subject: Re: Bug 249864 find as you type: ignore prefix of increasing length,
From: Aaron M Leventhal <aleventh@us.ibm.com>

I [aaronleventhal@moonset.net] want to get removed. He [timeless] can probably
do that too if you ask him for me.

- Aaron
Right, I don't want to be involved in Find As You Type anymore, except possibly
as a reviewer for C++ changes.

not a clue. where and who do I approach to find out potential volunteers?

Ask Masayuki Nakano if he wants it.
I have a question. We don't have "core" code for FAYT. Because SeaMonkey and Fx are not having common codes for FAYT. SeaMonkey is using extensions/typeaheadfind. But Fx is using toolkit/components/typeaheadfind.

Is this discussion for SeaMonkey? or Fx?
I'm working on some FAYT bugs of Fx. But I don't work on SeaMonkey. Because SeaMonkey is not official product of MF. So, the priority of SeaMonkey FAYT bugs are lower than Fx for me(and Mozilla Japan).
If this discussion is for SeaMonkey, I'm not proper default owner for SeaMonkey bugs.

If for Fx, I want to be default owner of FAYT.

I can't answer these questions, expect that
Aaron's case regards core+Keyboard: Find as you Type
Does this affect Firefox? I don't know.
But there are 35 bugs.

Are you saying there should be none in core - that they should be reassigned to Firefox+Find Toolbar / FastFind and perhaps some component of MAS? (I don't see an appropriate component in MAS)

Firefox+Find Toolbar / FastFind is currently "nobody" so I guess you need to ask to be default owner.

Oops. Sorry. We have common code for FAYT.
http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/embedding/components/find/src/
This dir is referred from both products.
But it's a part of find mechanism, so, not only for FAYT.
And Mozilla Application Suite product doesn't have FAYT component.
Therefore, I think we should separate the "Core/Keyboard:FAYT" to "Core/Find in Contents" and "Mozilla Application Suite/Keyboard: FAYT".

Yeah, if nobady has dissenting opinion, I want to be it.

We've switched every component in Firefox to nobody@m.o for a reason, namely to move in a direction where buglists are a reflection of what people are actually planning on working on in the short term, so that bugs are more obviously up for the taking. There's a generic qa contact account that can be watched, and you can take any bugs that you want to fix as they come up. This is a general policy that we want to stick to for a myriad of reasons.
Okay so can someone switch it to nobody@m.o?
