Set Control Panel->Accessibility->StickyKeys. control-click and shift-click to
select multiple messages no longer work.

It always WFM if I don't have intervening key or mouse clicks or change of focus. But I'm not up on the specs. For example if I start in message/thread pane, set a sticky key and then click anywhere in scroll bar or message preview pane then the next mouse click in the thread pane is not sticky. My guess is it should work this way.
Ben, What are the exact set of steps that don't work for you, how does this behavior does not match sticky key specs, your machine specs and version of Thunderbird?
