User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7

HUH, what a complication of process to write to you simple user question ;-) ...
Anyway, surfing with Firefox at my machine (and also on my friends computers)
stops in one case.
It was happening before, and even in newest 1.0.7. software.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Let's say my homepage is: http://www.passdb.com/indexfull2.shtml I'm on
that page.
2. I choose down in Top Partner Sites, to open link BeStPaSsWoRdS. And I open
it. Now my Firefox is in two different windows (that is reason of opening those
pages).
3. When I close first window (in this case
http://www.passdb.com/indexfull2.shtml) with other that remains (bestpasswords)
I cannot longer surf. Like Firefox is frozen, don't respond.
Than I must end it in Task mannager, and run it again.
4. In any case, when I close first opened Firefox window, another who remains
are frozen. And need to be closed.

Actual Results:
The result (problem) is, if I'm going to surf little longer, I must keep open
sometimes even 20 pages in Firefox, because if I terminate first one, all others
will be disabled.

I noticed that in last time adware and spyware comes into my machine via Firefox
(before it was only through IE)while I'm surfing (Alexa related, new.net, and
other junk).
Hope that is fixed in version 1.0.7.
And it would be nice if (for example) Spybot Search & Destroy have real time
protection for Firefox?
It has for Opera and Internet Explorer.

Thank you very much for reading this.
Have a nice day.

Bugzilla is designed for developers and testers, it isn't workable for technical
support. See the user support groups listed at

I can't reproduce this. Does it happen if you use other home pages? Do you have
Java or other plugins enabled that might be involved? You do mean windows as
opposed to separate tabs, right?

What kind of adware? Actual installed programs, or just tracking cookies? Do you
have Java with a version less than 1.5 by any chance? (We've seen reports of
infections via Sun Java 1.4.2_05 and lower)

If we can't figure out how to reproduce this we'll have to close it
"worksforme". Please work with the user support group to try to narrow down the
conditions.

Answer:
Yes, all Java setings and Java scripts are enabled in my newest Firefox. And
also my version of Java is 3 days old, downloaded from Sun microsystems.
I can use: http://www.passdb.com/indexfull2.shtml for my homepage.
But it was just example, its important to see this bug:
1. Start surf with ONE opened Firefox
2. Open as many web pages until you with time, in one moment see two opened
Firefox down on the blue bottom of desktop (using Windows XP)
Important is, that you start surf with one Firefox, and that Firefox open
another completely separated window.
3. Close first one, and in my case, second opened is completely disabled,
"frozen", unable to surf.

Answer:
just tracking cookies, but before it was nothing. Probably spyware producers
see that Firefox is popular in entire world, and they adjusting their programs
to this browser.

Reporter, were you able to get this resolved via the Support group? Are you still seeing this problem with the latest release of Firefox when using a clean profile?
