Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; de-DE; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050717 Firefox/1.0.6

I have installed Firefox 1.0.6 !
So, Firefox automatically wants to update to version 1.0.7, but I'm highly
pleased with Firefox 1.0.6, and like we all know: Never touch a running system!
After that I want to abort the Software update. A clicked on "Cancel" or on the
cross top right and the window have been closed, but behind this window the
software update process will be restarted. I identificat this on a click of the
white arrow with red backgrund on the top right in the Firefox window.

This Windows (Firefox-Update Window 1 - 3) appearing again and again by clicking
on the white arrow top right.
Abort impossible.

You really should update to 1.0.7 because it fixes security flaws and regressions.

If you insist on sticking with 1.0.6, just don't click on the arrow icon, since
it represents "Look for Updates".
But this software updater is further downloading something, also after closing
the update window!
