If mailnews.nav_crosses_folders is turned to 0 (= go to next folder without
asking), pressing 'N' will take me to the next unread message in any folder.

Pressing 'P' or choosing "Go > Previous > Unread Message" from the menu only
works in the current folder.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. have some unread mail in mailbox folder
2. read some news in a folder further down, decide to go back to an unread mail
message further up
3. press 'P'

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
The previous folder containing an unread message is opened and the last unread
message in it selected.
I wonder why this hasn't been reported before. Or maybe it has.

Anyway, it's probably OS independent (same behaviour on Windows at least).

mailnews.nav_crosses_folders was implemented in bug 67072.
'P' (previous) should mirror 'N' (next).
nominating for TB3
Flags: wanted-thunderbird3?
I don't think this will get the traction to get fixed for TB3 but it's a worthwhile consistency issue
Flags: wanted-thunderbird3? → wanted-thunderbird3+
Looks like it really got fixed in TB3 (WinXP). Setting the value to 0 produces absolutely nothing. The "Next" button is completely grayed out. Setting the value to 1 gets the "Next" button back, but selecting it produces the normal pop-up window.
