I keep JavaScript disabled for snappier performance, enabling it only as needed.
It would be wonderful if there was a JavaScript toggle available for Camino's
toolbar.
Going to preferences/Web Features every time I want to enable JavaScript is a
bit if a nuisance.
Think creating one is worth doing?

Reproducible: Didn't try
Confirming.

As pointed out on MZ forums, though, this should be application-wide, not
window-specific, and should thus be a menu item rather than a toolbar-only item.
(The option to make it a toolbar item should be considered as well, but it
should be a menu item first.)

Might see what I can do with this later this week. Anyone know whether the pref
toggle (in the pref pane) takes effect immediately, or does it require a restart?

Ever confirmed: true
I'll even go so far as to propose a keyboard shortcut: cmd-shift-J. It doesn't
look like that's being used for anything right now.

One word: Bloat. I'd definitely recommend WONTFIXing this bug.

CCing Simon... Any reason why we "need" this?
I'm with Samuel. I don't think most people do this often enough that opening
the prefs is onerous--and if one did it often, just keep the prefs open, in a bg
window.
I agree.
