Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7
Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 1.0.6 (20050716)

The menu item Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Software Update contains only a
button to check for updates to extensions and themes -- not one to update
Thunderbird itself. (Compare the same menu item in Firefox, which does allow both.)

The knowledge base (at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update , referenced
from http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs ) says this button exists, but
it doesn't.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Actual Results:
I had to uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird.

I have Enigmail 0.90.0 installed, if that makes any difference.
In the latest builds, this has been altered in both FF and TB. Update is now on
Help -> Check for updates in both. Not sure of the bugs that this was done
under - sorry. Guess it should be duped.
The update feature in Firefox has been implemented in Thunderbird as well.
You can see the feature in the latest beta/nightly releases.
