Firefox beta 1.5 seems to lockup randomly on os tiger and also when attempting to browse and upload 
pictures/files, one website in specific is www.facebook.com.  Haven't had any issue with 1.5 on my 
windows xp machine.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.sign up
2.attempt to add a picture
3.

Actual Results:  
locks up sometimes or allows you to add a picture with no problem.

Expected Results:  
opened up a browse finder in order for me to choose what picture i would like to upload.

I have also encountered this freezing problem on mac, but not on XP. I have seen
firefox freeze (spinning wheel of death) after roughly 2 hours of use. This
problem has been around since about 1.0.5 (still seeing this in 1.0.7 for mac).

The freezing takes one of 2 forms - either the spinning wheel of death, or the
browser may allow mouse input (opening links, etc.) but no keyboard input (no
URLs/form text boxes can be used). The spinning wheel is a real freeze, offering
no functionality. The denial of text entry leaves the menus and any mouse-based
actions still operational. Both are fixed by force-quitting and restarting the
browser.

I use tabs when I browse, often opening and closing many tabs in a session,
possibly 50-100 tabs opened total (never that many at the same time!). I tend to
leave about 10-20 tabs open at any one time.

I'm using an imac g5 1.8GHz (1st edition, 20" screen) with 1GB RAM
(apple-installed). No bells or whistles on this machine other than the extra
RAM. I use plain-jane firefox - no themes, only a few plugins (media player, java).

Firefox 1.5 freezes consistently when you key words into a search field & the pop-up window appears with more than one option in it. The only way to get out is to force quit. As an example If you go into Amazon and do an advance search on a publisher and key in say "Sim", the window showing "SIMON  " 
                                                   "SIMIAN " would appear, assuming of course that you had done previous searches on these two words, and the computer goes into a hard freeze.  The same problem shows up on every web site that has this type of search.

nope, problem solved in latest release!
