the skin version changed to 1.8. it would be good to relnote that somewhere.
Ideally with a list of required changes when porting a skin to sm 1.0.
I don't think we ever relnote'd a skinVersion change.
It's good to post it to relevant newsgroups or whatever, but relnotes are for
users, who don't know what's a skinVersion anyhow.
we could make relnotes for developers, like firefox does.
oops, missed a couple releases.  included in final.
