However using a nightly it all works just fine.

Have you tried it in the safe mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox)

Stuart <etrash@blueyonder.co.uk>, can you try with Firefox 1.5 beta 1?
I have tried the 1.5 beta 1 [ Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050908 Firefox/1.4 ].

I can successfully navigate to http://www.shop.bt.com - i do get a "Warning:
unresponsive script" upon every click of the menus, offering me the chance to
stop the script or continue (whichever i choose, navigation seems to succeed).

It does not crash however.

NB more information - a colleague has reproduced a crash on the current ubuntoo
1.0.7 linux build, so it is not necessarily constrainted to the windows platform.

I have just tried this, (firefox.exe -safe-mode) and visiting this site, and it
still crashes.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; de-DE; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050919 Firefox/1.0.7

No Crash, took a while to load, but didn't crash.

WFM, too. Stuart, this appears to be fixed in 1.5 beta 1. If you can reproduce
this crash with beta 1, please feel free to reopen this.
