the domain name is resolvable through dig program on the linux host
that means,
dig www.-illuminati-.blogspot.com @'dns server defined in /etc/resolv.conf'
returns successful IP.
however, type the above address in address bar will give dns resolv error.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. type the full URL in the firefox address bar.

MessageBox:
Alert !
www.-illuminati-.blogspot.com could not be found, please check the name and try
again.
Expected Results:
no MsgBox but go to the webpage itself

Works for me in Firefox 1.0.7 and the latest Deer Park build. (en-US,WinXP)

You filed this against Linux, but the build info says Windows. Assuming you are
seeing the problem on Linux, which version are you using there?

I reported using a winXP machine. but the problem happened on my redhat machine
with firefox:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
