RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 260524

People

(Reporter: DavC73, Unassigned)

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050922 Fedora/1.0.7-1.1.fc3 Firefox/1.0.7
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050922 Fedora/1.0.7-1.1.fc3 Firefox/1.0.7

Only in FireFox and ThunderBird on my Linux PC (seems that the problem not
occurs on my Windows PC), when moving the mouse in menus, sometimes (every 3 or
4 lines) focus is lost when stop on a line, whereas cursor is centered on the
line. I must move mouse for at least 1 pixel in order to restore focus
("reversed" color and immediate action like opening a sub-menu). A video capture
is available: http://davc73.free.fr/bugzilla.mpg

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to bookmarks menu (works also in other menus)
2. move mouse on folders and links: background colors are reversed when over the
zone
3. stop on a folder or a link
4. focus is lost: background color is not reversed and sub-menu (if any) is not
opened
5. move mouse for at least 1 pixel in any direction: background color is
reversed and sub-menu appears

Actual Results:
Sometimes focus is lost, then for example sub-menu is not opened.

Expected Results:
Focus is kept, and sub-menus are always opened when choosing a line.

In addition, please note that the bug also occurs with the default theme and all
extensions disabled.
Related to/duplicate of bug 260524 and bug 251729?
Sorry, I sought a lot but I missed the 2 you quoted. Yes, that seems the same
problem, so I mark my bug as a duplicate. I'll try a nightly build...
