User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7
Build Identifier: Thunderbird 1.5 Beta 1

Sometimes quote levels disappear after Paste or Paste As Quotation if several
quote levels have been copied.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make the following quote structure in Compose window (use Paste As Quotation
two times):
> > aaa
> > bbb
> ccc
> ddd
2. Copy bbb ans ccc lines.
3. Use Paste.
4. Use Paste As Quotation.

Actual Results:
One quote level disappeared.
After Paste:
bbb
ccc
After Paste As Quotation:
> bbb
> ccc

Expected Results:
Preserve quote levels.
What's the source of the Copy: a displayed message, or the compose window?
Compose window. I sometimes scroll to the message I'm replying to and copy some
quotations.
I'm not able to reproduce this. I see the expected number of '>' characters for
both modes of Paste (but, see bug 114954).

How exactly are you selecting the text?
This causes problems since in Mozilla 1.7.3 and even 1.5 is was working better.
In fact in 1.5 you could paste a Excel line (a few rows) and you would not see them but in the email that was received it was showing ok.

Now in Thunderbird v1 you can paste (it shows) but not as in Excel (text in different rows) The text in pasted without the cell formatting.

Text is selected with the mouse by highlighting the cells then Ctrl C and Ctrl V in the email.
