310675 - Can't install Firefox browser. Excel downloads instead and I can't get any further.

I try to download Firefox and it only downloads Excel, which when I try to open only 
comes up as a page of gibberish. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on download on Mozilla page to install Firefox. 
2.download.mozilla.org downloads with Excel mark on it. 
3.click on it to open. 

Actual Results:  
There is a page of gibberish and I can't do anything with it. 

Expected Results:  
I thought somewhere some information/ icon about firefox would appear.

He is trying to download the Firefox 1.0.7.dmg I would assume.

Bug 280980 - "File that downloads not recognized as application by OSX"

Two options to try either:

1) Rename the "download.mozilla.org" file to "download.mozilla.dmg". Install
that file.

2) Delete the "download.mozilla.org" file from your computer. Download this
installer from a good mirror like
http://mozilla.osuosl.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/1.0.7/mac/ (en-US ?)
and then Install Firefox 1.0.7.dmg". 

Note: use Safari to download Firefox, as IE has be said to mangle the Firefox
downloads.
