I've noticed quite often that when typing in a textarea, the insertion point
disappears.This seems to be reproducible if you stop typing and hit the
backspace key to make some changes - the insertion point disappears but you can
still type in the textarea. Sometimes it comes back after you've started typing
again after, and sometimes it doesn't until you've refreshed the page.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start typing in a text area.
2. After typing some text, hit the backspace key to delete some of the text.
3.

Actual Results:  
The insertion point disappears but the textarea still has focus and can be typed in.
