Let's say you have two pictures called 1.jpg and 2.jpg and you want to attach
them simultaneously to an email by holding the Ctrl key down.
Tbird attaches them like this: 2.jpg and then 1.jpg, which can be very
unconvenient if they explain, for example, the steps of procedure that has to be
followed in order 1, 2. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a blank new email
2. Click Include an attachement
3. Select several files to be attached in the browsing window

Actual Results:  
Not in the right order according to the names of the files

Expected Results:  
Should be in the right order according to the name of the attached files

Since Bugzilla doesn't let you attach multiple files at once currently (and from
other context in your description) I'm going to assume you meant to report this
as a problem with Thunderbird rather than a problem with Bugzilla, so I'm moving
the bug to the Thunderbird product.

Out of curiosity, is there some wording we can change on
http://www.bugzilla.org/developers/reporting_bugs.html (where you linked from to
file this bug) that would make it any clearer that it wasn't the appropriate
place to go for Thunderbird bugs?

I see the same behavior on my copy but I am using an older version.  Reporter,
what version of Thunderbird are you using.  You have attached the versions of
your Firefox installation.

the files are attached in the order presented by the file picker - whether that sort order be size, date, name,etc
